On this weblog you will find all the information for the workshop micro:bit at the ICC-Camp 2025 in Porto. In this workshop, there are different kind of starting points. You can enter this workshop if you are beginner, prefer keyboardnavigation, if you have experience with the micro:bit, or you prefer the micropython with scripting.
Beginner
If you are a beginner, it is easy to start off with some practical starting cards with 12 different small projects te make. Here you can use your mouse for navigation. All the material will also be available in print at the workshop. You will work in blockcoding on the makecode.com website.
Keyboard Control
If you prefer keyboard control (that is new in the makecode since july 2025) you can use this manual in word. Or this list of keyboardcontrol. All the material will also be available in print at the workshop. You also will work on the makecode.com website. You can start the keyboard navigation with CONTROL + /.

Experienced user – Ziptile
You learn how to code a LED ziptile from 8×8. You will start simple, then you will make a drawing and transfer this to the ziptile. Here you will find the basic starting code for the ziptile with the micro:bit.
Experienced user – Space Invader
You can make an arcade game on the micro:bit. Here is a basic starting coding set. You can make it more difficult and advanced.
Experienced user – More Classic games
Here you will find a blog with 9 different classic games to play on the micro:bit.

Scripting with micro:bit python for the micro:bit
With micro:bit python you can make script coding for the micro:bit. You can use the idea’s what are on the website to start of with you projects. I also have some games made in micro:bit python what you can try and play or change. They are in the google drive.
