I was so lucky to be in Cambridge last week to celebrate 10 years of the micro:bit! It was wonderful to meet so many people from the micro:bit community. The celebration included inspiring talks, a table where I could showcase my micro:bit projects, a lovely dinner, speeches and, of course, a Chuck-a-Duck game organised by Jonathan Austin.
My table of micro:bit projects
I travelled to Cambridge with a suitcase full of micro:bit projects. The customs officers looked a little surprised to see all my micro:bits, batteries, cables, motors and LED lights, but they let me through! At the event, I had a table where I could display all my projects, and I had lots of interesting conversations with different people. Some had no idea what the micro:bit could do, while others had created very complex projects, both with and without students. I also created a Padlet with all the projects I brought from home.

Dinner
Afterwards, we enjoyed a big dinner with lovely conversations about coding, children and, of course, the micro:bit. There were also talks on stage featuring micro:bit champions, as well as a wonderful video celebrating 10 years of the micro:bit. And for dessert, there was a fun micro:bit activity: a Chuck-a-Duck game organised by Johnny!

Speciale 10 years micro:bit
As a special surprise, there was a special-edition micro:bit on every table! Each one came in a special black box decorated with small gaming details. And the special micro:bit have also gaming details on it. What a lovely way to celebrate 10 years of the micro:bit!
